Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has committed to donate the sum of fifty million naira (N50 million) to charity, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen was a guest of honour at the Attom Foundation’s awareness event for the Charity Champions Cup in Abuja on Saturday, June 15.
The occasion had in attendance some of football’s most celebrated names including Arsenal great Robert Pires and former Chelsea man Claude Makelele. Two of Nigeria’s greatest-ever players Austin Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu were also present at the event.
The Attom Foundation put the show together to raise awareness and funds for the provision of essential eye care services for 10,000 elderly persons in Nigeria.
In support of the cause, Osimhen pledged N50 million to old cheers and applause from many at the party.
